Celebrating Our First Year as a Certified B Corp

One year ago, we officially became a certified B Corporation—a milestone that marked our commitment to using business as a force for good.

Since then, we’ve been working to embed purpose into every aspect of what we do. This past year has been full of learning, growth and meaningful actions.

We’re proud to share our very first Impact Report, where we reflect on the journey so far, the challenges we've faced and the progress we've made toward creating lasting, positive change.

"This has been a truly collaborative effort – every member of staff has contributed in different ways to shaping and delivering our strategy. From brainstorming sessions to everyday actions, the energy and ideas from across the team have been vital in driving our progress and will continue to guide us as we move forward."

Measurable Progress

As we reflect on the past year, numbers help tell the story of our collective efforts. From environmental initiatives to community engagement and internal practices, the following headline stats offer a snapshot of the tangible progress that we have made.

Our Ambitions for the Coming Year

Our first year as a B Corp has laid a strong foundation, but we know the journey is just beginning. As we look to the future, we’re setting our sights on deeper impact, greater accountability and continued innovation in how we work and what we create.

In particular, we will be focusing on environmental sustainability – an area where we can make a meaningful difference. This will involve ongoing improvements to our own working environments in St Ives and Exeter, as well as ensuring that sustainability is central to our project delivery and the advice we provide to clients.

Here are some of the key priorities and ambitions we’re setting for the year ahead:

  1. Launch our ‘Social Value Guide’ to help educate our staff and clientele on the potential for creating meaningful change

  2. Continue to monitor and aim to reduce our carbon footprint

  3. Introduce an electric car initiative for employees

  4. Increase the use of feedback surveys to monitor client satisfaction and inform our approach

  5. Continue to nurture and leverage the additional skills and expertise within our practice to broaden our service offerings

  6. Encourage employees to utilise their annual wellbeing and volunteering allowance

The past year has been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when purpose is placed at the heart of practice. While we’re proud of the progress we’ve made, we know there’s much more to do — and we’re excited for what comes next.

We invite you to explore our full Impact Report below, where you’ll find deeper insights from the year and the steps we’re taking to build a more responsible, inclusive and sustainable future through architecture.
