Sideshore is a not-for-profit regeneration development on the waterfront at Exmouth. Sideshore is the place for the local community and visitors to Exmouth to take-up a new water sport, enjoy delicious food and drink choices or to simply sit and watch the amazing activities and sports on offer. Built for the community, it has always been the aim for Sideshore to provide a long-term legacy for the local area. Sideshore is built to the highest standards in sustainability, operates as a commercially viable business while managed locally as a Community Interest Company (CIC) – whose sole aim is to use profits for the benefit of the Exmouth area.
In 2021, Sideshore obtained an Energy Performance Rating (EPC) A, which is ground-breaking for a commercial building. Sustainability measures include: Ground source heat pumps, 254 roof mounted solar panels, 6 Electric Vehicle charging points and 15 bicycle racks.
The focus on sustainability runs through every part of the development, from the choice of locally sourced materials including Yennadon Stone, to the range of world-leading tenants including local and renowned celebrity chef, Michael Caines, a local artist, and slow fashion retailer selling pre-loved surf wear.
